Teresa Elder, Office Manager/Legal Assistant

Teresa Elder received a B.S. degree in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee.  She is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Knoxville Chapter.  She is also a member of Executive Women International.  Teresa has assisted Dan Holbrook since 1989 and has been the firm’s Office Manager since its formation in 1997.

Jill Goodman, Bookkeeper

Jill has worked with Dan Holbrook in various roles since 1981.  She lives in Maryville with her husband, Buster, daughter Elizabeth, and son Matt.  She has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Tennessee, along with a teaching certificate in Business Education.  She enjoys spending her free time with family and friends, sewing, reading, and going on picnics in the mountains.

Lisa Wright, Receptionist

Lisa is from Knoxville and graduated from Halls High School.  She married her high school sweetheart and has been the firm’s receptionist since 2004.

Susan Walker, Legal Assistant

Susan has worked in the legal field since 1987 and previously assisted Dan Holbrook at another law office.  She joined the firm in 1998 and assisted Marshall Peterson until 2001.  After an extended break to help with a family business, she returned as Marshall’s assistant in 2008 and currently assists Heather Craig as well.  Susan enjoys spending time with her family and friends and participating in women’s Bible Studies.

Lori Abel, Legal Assistant

Lori holds a B.S. in Administration of Justice from Pennsylvania State University and earned her paralegal certification from Robert Morris University.  She has assisted Ed Smith since 2009.

Jennifer Ownby, Legal Assistant

Jennifer is a native of Knoxville, but began working in the legal field while living in Colorado in 2005.  After taking time away from it to run her own business, she is excited to be back home and back in legal support. She joined HPS in 2012 to assist Donald Farinato and Kathleen Waldrop.  Jennifer is also a classically trained musician, holding a Bachelor of Music from the University of Tennessee and a Master of Music from the University of Northern Colorado.
